We are pleased to announce that two schools in our district have been recognized for their exceptional performance by U.S. News & World Report. Lakeview Junior High ranked 207 out of 1,173 eligible junior high and middle schools in Illinois, earning an overall score of 82.4. Prairieview Elementary also received high marks, ranking 285 out of 1,893 eligible elementary schools statewide with a score of 84.99.
The achievement was celebrated at the December 10th Board of Education meeting, where members of Prairieview’s 5th grade leadership team shared what makes their school such a special place to learn. A Lakeview student also delivered a heartfelt speech highlighting why Lakeview is so wonderful, offering a powerful reminder that the strength of our schools is best reflected through the voices of our students.
