
D66 Recognized as a 2023 Best Community for Music Education
District 66 has been recognized by the National Association of Music Merchant (NAMM) foundation as a Best Community for Music Education. This award is given to school districts who demonstrate a high level of support for music education through many factors. We are proud to be selected as 1 of 24 Districts in Illinois and 1 of 830 districts across the nation. Bravo to our music staff, administration, and community supporters.


Congratulations to the Lakeview Bands on a successful trip to St. Louis this past weekend. They participated in the Music in the Parks Festival where the Symphonic Winds took 3rd place out of 7 groups and the Jazz Band won first place overall in the middle school division. We also did some sightseeing at the Gateway Arch, the City Museum, Blues Museum and Ballpark Village.



6th Grade - There is still time to order a personalized, signed copy of Lo and Behold by Wendy Mass for $13.99. She will be at Lakeview for an author visit on May 9th. Order forms can be returned to the LRC or the ELA teachers.

It's Concert Season for our Band and Choir Students!

The LV LRC, in collaboration with Anderon's Bookshop, will be hosting an author visit on May 9th, for the 6th grade. Wendy Mass is the New York Times bestselling author of twenty-nine novels (which have been translated into 26 languages and nominated for 91 state book awards! )


In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we wanted to share our amazing teachers with everyone.


On Sunday, April 30th, we celebrated the accomplishments of the Lakeview Band and Choir studets. This was a great family event where we got to recognize our students for their hard work and dedication. Thanks to our Music Boosters for organizing such a wonderful celebration





The Lakeview boys are now 6-0 after two huge wins over Butler and Gower this week. They remain the final undefeated team with just three Conference games left in the season!






The Lakeview Girls Soccer team earned a hard fought victory over Gower with a score of 1-0!


Congrats to the Boys Volleyball Team on a huge win over Old Quarry today to take over the conference lead. Let's keep it rolling, boys! 🏐🏐🏐
