Center Cass Community Band Celebrates the Season
It was a full house at Lakeview JHS for Center Cass Community Band where they presented their annual Holiday Concert. The concert featured favorites like White Christmas, We Need A Litttle Christmas, O Holy Night, Baby it's Cold Outside, and many more. Thanks for all those who came out to support the Community Band and the West Suburban Community Pantry.

Congratulations to the 11 Bands who performed at this year's District 66 Winter Invitational Band Festival on Saturday, Dec. 2. Over 500 student musicians performed and had an opportunity to receive a clinic from our 2 clinicians. More than 1000 people either performed or attended the performances which ran from 8am - 3:30pm. Lakeview is proud to be the host of this festival for the 21st year.

Let's Ring in the Holidays together!! Bring the entire family to enjoy some great Holiday music performed by your very own Center Cass Community Band. The concert will take place on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 4:00pm in the Lakeview Gym. You will not be disappointed.

Congratulations to Emily F. Lily M. and Emmet O. on their selection to the Illinois Music Educators Association(ILMEA) District 1 Honors Concert Band. They were selected through competitive blind audition from several hundred stds. They performed with about 120 othe talented students on Saturday, Nov. 4 at Unity Middle School in Cicero. Bravo!

The Lakeview Marching Sprartans looked and sounded amazing Friday afternoon as they performed for the DGS Homecoming Day Parade. Lakeview has been leading this parade for at least the last 15 years. So great to play for our community! Great Job Marching Spartans!
The Lakeview 6th Grade Concert Band put on a fantastic Halloween performance for the kids at Elizabeth Ide. We had a great time and the students were a wonderful audience!
So exciting! These 2 Tower Gardens were purchased for the LV LRC with grant money provided by Team 66. They will soon sprout different types of lettuces, herbs, and other produce. The towers will be used for student learning in a variety of core classes, as well as ingredients in our FACS classes. Stay tuned to see the growth!
Congratulations to our September winners for the LV Reading Challenge! Each month students can win one of 4 raffle prizes for reading and sharing great books. Lakeview students read over 21,000 pages in September - pretty amazing!

The PTO hosted the first Donut Day at Lakeview this morning creating tons of smiles and happiness! And so much generosity as students happily bought for their friends and teachers! 🍩🫶
SH is the LRC is always busy with weekly learning extensions! This week students played brain games and learned about the Stroop Effect. Brain games help memory, reaction time, and attention span.
