This week the Lakeview Symphonic Winds welcomed Mr. Glenn Williams, retired music department chairperson from DGS, into our classroom. Mr. Williams brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. He brought a new perspective to our rehearsal and preparation as we work toward our performance in Gatliburg TN and our spring performances.

Two outstanding clinicians, Mr. Glenn Williams and Mr. Bayer Teague worked with the student performers throughout the morning. Great job to all our performers.

Center Cass Community Band Spring Concert
On Sunday April 7th the Center Cass Community Band held their annual Spring Concert. This concert was dedicated to one of our community members, Lynn Gasmen who recently went through a lung transplant. Donations were collected to help the Gasmen family through this challenging time. So much generosity was on display along with a great set of Latin inspired music. Thanks to all who came out yesterday for this awesome event.

D66 Bands and Choirs Support the WSCP
The Band and Choir students and families partnered with the West Suburban Community Pantry to help struggling families feed their families. We collected non perishable food items as well as monetary donations at each of our performances throughout December. Through our efforts, we raised over $450.00 in monetary donations and collected over 2,000 pounds of food.
Thank you to all who contributed to this cause to help fight hunger in our area.
