Students in Mrs. Newman's Photography class tested their skills and participated in a photoshoot sponsored by the Western Humane Society and its volunteers. Students learned shutter speed and how they can stop motion when photographing moving subjects. All dogs brought to the Lakeview campus are up for adoption! Please see Western Humane Society's website to check out Lacey and her profile photos taken by our Spartan photographers!

Next week, seventh grade ELA students will begin a narrative writing unit, crafting their own spooky stories with suspense. To prepare, the students enjoyed a treat! Published Spooky Story authors presented over Zoom, sharing writing strategies, word choices, failures and successes with the students. Also, students were able to ask their own thoughtful questions about the writing process, and the panel of authors took turns answering them with further “tricks of the trade”. These authors donated this advice free of charge, and our seventh grade Spartans were grateful for this opportunity to learn from the “experts”!!

Mrs. Pisano is cooking up great times in her Dough making class! Our exploratory classes are aligned to national college & career ready standards, with courses designed to match career clusters. These future cooks made their dough from scratch to create an original master-piece!
