Congratulations to Mr. Ohlsen and the Lakeview Jr. High School Jazz Band students on their fantastic performance tonight at the DGS Jazz Cafe. The played with great passion and enthusiasm. December 12th and 13th will feature our Prairieview Band and Choir and the Lakeview Bands and Choir. Lakeview French Horn Student selected to All Illinois Jr. Band! Congratulations to Lydia, 8th grade French Horn player on being selected to the All Illinois Jr. Band (AIJB). This is quite an honor. Lydia was selected through a competitive blind audition process. Over 180 students auditioned for a spot in this ensemble where approximately 80 students were selected. Lydia will travel to the University of Illinois in Champagne on January 20 and 21 where she will work with other talented students from across the state and prepare a special performance. Contratulations Lydia! The entire District 66 Family is proud of you. You will represent our band program and school well. Bravo!

Happy Halloween Everyone! On Friday 10/28, the 6th grade concert band performed for the Prairieview students. We had so much fun sharing our music with them and showing how much fun band can be.
